Women’s Wear Manufacturing for UK Brands

NEWCOM supports UK labels sourcing women’s wear OEM/ODM development in China. Whether you are preparing boutique separates or an occasionwear drop, build the quote around your fit block, approved materials, private-label details and delivery milestones.

From a UK collection idea to a defined sample brief

Avoid treating a UK size number or a reference photograph as a complete manufacturing specification. A brand-specific measurement chart and a written approval sequence make the project easier to quote and assess.

Define your UK fit standard

Send your base size, bust/waist/hip dimensions, finished lengths and grade rules. Note whether the range is close-fitting or relaxed, and identify any different length requirements before pattern development.

Plan the range as components

List each dress, blouse, skirt or set as a separate style with colour and size quantities. For co-ordinated looks, provide measurements and commercial quantities for both pieces, including how they will be packed.

Confirm the finished appearance

Use fabric and trim swatches to approve opacity, drape, stretch and surface details. Mark embroidery placement, lace insertion or ruched panels so the sample review is more precise than a visual comparison alone.

Quotation checklist

Prepare a quote for your UK destination

Include your style selection, tech pack, quantity breakdown and target sample/bulk delivery dates. State your receiving postcode or port and your preferred freight arrangement. Ask the supplier to specify the shipment term and cost inclusions, and confirm transport and import responsibilities with the parties handling your order.

Private-label copy needs your approval

Supply your original brand artwork and buyer-approved label wording, with materials and care instructions based on the confirmed garment. Agree the label dimensions, placement, packaging and carton identification before production. Any market-specific testing or documentation requested by your brand should be raised in the brief and confirmed in writing; this page is not a compliance certification.

Review the sampling and production approval process, factory information and available audit document, and the buyer enquiry kit before sending your brief.

Development examples

Reference silhouettes to discuss

These clean product images help communicate shape and detail. They are development references, not verified customer case studies or a ready-stock offer. Materials, availability and the production specification require confirmation.

Before you enquire

Buyer questions

Do you manufacture in the UK?

No. NEWCOM provides China-based development and manufacturing for UK brands. This page describes an overseas sourcing service rather than a UK factory or local-made product.

Can you develop occasionwear as well as daywear?

Our reference library includes slip, ruched, tiered and printed dresses plus separates. Send the chosen silhouette and construction requirements so fabric, lining and development feasibility can be assessed.

What should I approve before placing a bulk order?

Approve the fit sample, measurements and grading, fabric and trim selections, label artwork, packing specification, quotation and production schedule in writing before bulk starts.
