Buyer development guide
Develop blouses, shirts & layering tops
Choose a reference for its shape and construction, then specify what should change for your label. The pictured colour, lace or embroidery is a design cue—not a confirmed fabric specification.
Define the neckline & sleeve
Send the style code with your preferred collar shape, sleeve length, cuff finish and button placement. For lace or eyelet references, identify whether the detail belongs on the body, an insert or the trim.
Fit comes before grading
Include bust, shoulder, body length and sleeve measurements, plus your base size and grading rules. A relaxed shirt and a fitted vest need different ease; approve the sample against your own fit target.
Approve fabric & surface details
Request a fabric swatch and confirm weight, opacity, stretch and shrinkage before bulk. Embroidery scale, thread colour and trim attachment should be reviewed on the actual development sample.
